The second leg of the Europa League quarter-final between Sevilla and Manchester United will take place at Estadio Ramon on Thursday evening. With the score currently tied at 2-2, both teams will be looking to secure a place in the semi-finals.

In the first leg, Man United initially took a 2-0 lead with goals from Marcel Sabitzer, but Sevilla fought back with two late own goals from Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire. Although Sevilla has had a difficult domestic season, their excellent track record in the Europa League suggests that they could still go all the way this year. However, Man United remains the favorite to win the tournament, having won it before in 2017.

Despite suffering injuries to key players Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane in the first leg, the Red Devils will be confident of their chances, especially after a recent 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

INJURIES & SUSPENSIONS

Gonzalo Montiel will be absent for Sevilla due to suspension after receiving a yellow card in the first leg against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Joan Jordan will also be out due to a muscle injury, while Pape Gueye is ineligible for the Spanish team in the Europa League.

The majority of the starting XI from the first leg is expected to be repeated, with rested players Ivan Rakitic, Oliver Torres, Tanguy Nianzou, and Yassine Bounou returning to the lineup. However, Youssef En-Nesyri is anticipated to start at center-forward, with Erik Lamela moving to the bench.

Manchester United will be without Bruno Fernandes, who is suspended due to a yellow card in the previous game. Donny van de Beek, Alejandro Garnacho, Tom Heaton, Scott McTominay, Martinez, and Varane will not be available due to injuries. However, the team will welcome back four players, including Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Malacia, and Sabitzer. Shaw may be the only one of the quartet to start.

Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are expected to remain in the center of defense, while Fred is likely to join Casemiro and Christian Eriksen in midfield. Rashford may only feature as a substitute, with Jadon Sancho and Antony set to join Anthony Martial in the attacking third.

POSSIBLE LINE-UPS

Sevilla possible starting lineup:
Bounou; Navas, Nianzou, Marcao, Acuna; Fernando, Gudelj; Ocampos, Rakitic, O Torres; En-Nesyri

Manchester United possible starting lineup:
De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw; Casemiro, Fred, Eriksen; Antony, Martial, Sancho

EXPERT PREDICTION

Sevilla 2-3 Manchester United

Despite feeling like they should have secured a more comfortable lead in the first leg, Manchester United now have a challenging task ahead of them in Spain as they take on a strong Sevilla team. Although Sevilla has been in good form lately, we predict that the Premier League giants will be able to advance to the semifinals of the competition with a victory in the second leg.
