Players like Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, and Kai Havertz could potentially leave for other Premier League clubs, but a route out of Stamford Bridge has emerged with the Saudi Pro League. It was recently confirmed that N'Golo Kante has joined champions Al-Ittihad, rejecting an extension of his stay in West London.
Chelsea's management has also held discussions with relevant officials regarding potential sales, with suggestions that up to three players could be sold for a fee. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, two teams from the Saudi Pro League have shown interest in signing Hudson-Odoi. The young winger has returned to Chelsea after an underwhelming loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen, where he managed just one goal and one assist in 21 appearances. Leverkusen declined the option to sign him permanently, leaving Chelsea open to considering offers from other clubs as Hudson-Odoi only has one year left on his contract.
Renowned transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano adds that it's unclear whether the 22-year-old would consider a move to Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career, and discussions regarding his potential transfer have not yet begun. However, it seems that Hudson-Odoi, who has recorded 16 goals and 22 assists in 126 appearances for Chelsea, will have the opportunity to explore this option.
In recent weeks, Nottingham Forest and Lazio have also been linked with a potential bid for the attacker, with the latter being managed by Maurizio Sarri, who gave Hudson-Odoi his Chelsea debut.
If Hudson-Odoi is sold, it would be seen as a significant benefit for Chelsea as any transfer fee would count as pure profit, helping the club raise funds after spending over £600m in two transfer windows.
