Real Madrid is reportedly considering a player-plus-cash offer to bring Manchester United's Marcus Rashford to their squad this summer. Rashford, who had an impressive season last year with 30 goals and 11 assists in 56 games for United, hasn't hit top form this season, managing only five goals and six assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.

He faced criticism for his behavior after being spotted at a nightclub in Belfast before calling in sick for training ahead of an FA Cup match against Newport County. However, United has since addressed the issue, stating that the disciplinary matter is closed.

Despite recent controversies, Rashford has started in United's last three Premier League games, scoring once and helping the team secure three wins, lifting them to sixth place in the table. He is under contract at Old Trafford until 2026, and United has shown no intention of selling him this summer.

Yet, Real Madrid seems keen on bringing Rashford to the Santiago Bernabeu. Reports suggest they might offer cash along with winger Takefuso Kubo in exchange for Rashford. Kubo, currently playing for Real Sociedad, has a buy-back clause of €30m (£25.5m), which Real Madrid plans to activate if they pursue Rashford.

Kubo, who didn't feature for Real Madrid between 2019 and 2022, has become a key player for Sociedad, scoring six goals and providing four assists this season. While United has previously shown interest in Kubo, it's uncertain if he'd consider a move to Old Trafford, especially since he recently extended his contract with Sociedad until 2029.

Real Madrid might need to pay a significant fee in addition to offering Kubo if they want to secure Rashford, as United values him around £120m.

This deal isn't making any sense to me
