Olmo, who started his career at Barcelona's famous La Masia academy, made a name for himself at Dinamo Zagreb before moving to Leipzig on a four-year deal. His impressive performances have now put him on the radar of several top clubs.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the two Manchester clubs are the latest to express interest in Olmo and are gearing up for a fierce battle to secure his signature for next season. Bayern Munich, following a disappointing season where they lost the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen, are also reportedly keeping an eye on him.
Olmo signed a new contract with Leipzig last summer that runs until 2027 and includes a £51 million release clause. However, this clause is only active until the end of the European Championships, giving interested clubs until mid-July to make their move.
Manchester City has the financial muscle to meet Olmo's wage demands, making them a particularly attractive option for the Spanish midfielder. Olmo, who is eager to join a top European club capable of winning major trophies both domestically and internationally, might find it hard to pass up the chance to play under Pep Guardiola.
