During Sunday's Premier League match against Liverpool, Manchester City's goalkeeper Ederson suffered an injury that has raised concerns, according to manager Pep Guardiola. The situation doesn't look promising, as Guardiola mentioned.

The game initially seemed to favor City when John Stones capitalized on a corner kick from Kevin De Bruyne, scoring in the 23rd minute.

However, shortly after the second half began, Ederson encountered trouble. A reckless challenge on Darwin Nunez in the penalty area, following a misplaced pass from Nathan Ake, resulted in an injury for the Brazilian goalkeeper. Despite receiving some treatment, Ederson soldiered on and faced Alexis Mac Allister's penalty kick, though he couldn't prevent Liverpool from equalizing.

Ederson attempted to continue playing, but his discomfort was evident, and he eventually had to be substituted in the 56th minute for Stefan Ortega. Guardiola, when asked about the seriousness of Ederson's injury in a post-match interview with beIN Sports, expressed concerns about the extent of the damage.
"It doesn't look good."

Pressed on the goalkeeper's condition in his post-match press conference, the Citizens boss added: "I don't know right now [how serious it is]. Looks a little bit [not good]... but I don't know the diagnosis."
