According to The Athletic, Savio is set to become Pep Guardiola's first signing of the summer for Manchester City. The club has informed Savio that he will play a crucial role in the first-team squad and is expected to sign a five-year contract.
Currently on international duty with Brazil, the 20-year-old winger will remain with City until the summer of 2029 if the deal goes through. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that all paperwork for the former Girona loanee is complete, and he will join City after the Copa America concludes.
Savio is expected to play on the right wing for City, potentially replacing Riyad Mahrez, who moved to Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League last summer.
If the deal is finalized soon, Savio could make his first appearance for City during their pre-season tour of the United States at the end of July. City's tour includes matches against Scottish champions Celtic in California, AC Milan at Yankee Stadium in New York City on July 27, Barcelona in Orlando, and Premier League rivals Chelsea in Columbus.
After the tour, City will return to England to prepare for their Community Shield clash against Manchester United on August 10. Savio has also been on the radar of last season's Premier League runners-up Arsenal since 2022.
