
The Belgian striker shared his grief and frustration in a heartfelt Instagram post.

“As many of you know, we had planned to hold the funeral this Friday. However, due to certain decisions made in Kinshasa, the ceremony will now take place there.
Our father passed away on 28 September, and as his sons, we did everything we could to repatriate his body to Europe. Unfortunately, we felt we were being extorted by certain individuals…
If our father were still with us, he would never have accepted this. It breaks our hearts that we cannot lay him to rest as we wished — but some people didn’t want that to happen.
We now understand why our father preferred to keep us away from many people.
