According to reports, Liverpool has identified Leroy Sane and Federico Chiesa as potential targets for the upcoming 2024 transfer window. Despite concerns surrounding Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, the Merseyside team has had a fairly successful summer transfer period.

They've bolstered their midfield by acquiring Wataru Endo, Alexis Mac Allister, and Dominik Szoboszlai, the latter of whom can also contribute to the attacking third. While Liverpool's attacking options are strong, there's uncertainty about retaining Mohamed Salah in the long run.

Salah's contract is set to expire in less than two years, leading to persistent rumors about a potential move to Saudi Arabia, either this year or the next. Unless an exceptional offer emerges along with a change of heart from Salah, it's likely the club icon will remain at Anfield for the 2023-24 season. However, this hasn't deterred Liverpool from exploring alternatives for the future.

Calciomercato reports that both Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich and Federico Chiesa from Juventus are being considered as potential additions. While there was once debate about Sane not fully realizing his potential at Bayern, he's managed an impressive tally of 40 goals and 37 assists in 135 appearances across all competitions.

The well-documented issues involving Sadio Mane might have contributed to his potential departure, but it's worth noting that his teammate left earlier in the current window. Although Bayern has two more years to renew the contract of the 27-year-old Mane, who netted a brace in Bayern's Bundesliga opener against Werder Bremen, it seems likely they'll engage in negotiations eventually.

On the other hand, Chiesa has a contract with Juventus until 2025. However, if the opportunity arises, Juventus might be willing to part ways with him for the right price, even as he recovers from a significant knee injury. He managed four goals and six assists from 33 appearances last season.

As things stand, the demands from Bayern and Juventus for these talented players are unclear. Nonetheless, Liverpool could anticipate making a profit from the funds generated by a potential Salah departure.
