Fulham is reportedly making a move to sign Sander Berge from Burnley, a player who has also caught the attention of Manchester United. Berge, who spent three and a half years at Sheffield United and made 109 appearances, joined Burnley last summer.

Although he was a regular in the Burnley squad last season, playing in 37 out of 38 Premier League matches, he couldn't prevent the club's relegation.

As the transfer deadline approaches, Berge is expected to leave Burnley, with both Manchester United and Fulham showing interest. According to reports from BBC Sport, Fulham has made the first move by submitting an initial bid of £20 million for Berge, with an additional £5 million in potential add-ons.

Fulham seems eager to add Berge to their squad, potentially making him their fourth signing of the transfer window, following the acquisitions of Emile Smith Rowe, Jorge Cuenca, and Ryan Sessegnon. However, their interest in midfielders doesn't stop there. The Cottagers have also been linked to a Manchester United midfielder, although their initial attempts to secure a deal have fallen through. They are reportedly preparing a new offer.

Fulham's head coach, Marco Silva, is looking to strengthen his midfield after Joao Palhinha's departure to Bayern Munich earlier this summer for a club-record fee of £47.5 million. With Palhinha gone, Silva is left with Harrison Reed, Sasa Lukic, Tom Cairney, and Andreas Pereira as his primary options in central midfield.
