The Super Eagles of Nigeria’s head coach, Eric Chelle, has announced the final 23-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Nigeria will face Rwanda in Kigali on March 21, followed by a home match against Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on March 25.

Notably, this squad includes a mix of established internationals and new faces. KRC Genk forward Tolu Arokodare has received his first call-up, reflecting Chelle’s intent to infuse fresh talent into the team.

In addition, home-based players Kayode Bankole and Papa Daniel Mustapha have been selected, highlighting the coach’s recognition of domestic league performances. 

The Super Eagles are currently fifth in Group C with three points from four matches. Securing victories in these upcoming fixtures is crucial for Nigeria’s aspirations to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
