According to reports, Chelsea are preparing to make a €40m (£35.2m) bid for Inter Milan's goalkeeper, Andre Onana, during the upcoming summer transfer window. Onana, who left Ajax last summer to become Samir Handanovic's successor at Inter, has already played 29 games this season and has 14 clean sheets.

Although Inter signed Onana on a five-year contract until 2027, their financial problems mean they would not refuse an offer of €40m for the former Ajax shot-stopper. Chelsea's chief scout was recently in attendance to watch Onana during Inter's Champions League quarter-final second leg with Porto, but Manchester United is also reportedly interested in the goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, Chelsea could sell their current backup goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy, after he reportedly rejected a new contract offer.
