UFC 300 is scheduled to take place on April 13 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and features other notable matchups, including a light heavyweight showdown between Jiri Prochazka and Aleksandar Rakic, as well as a featherweight bout between Aljamain Sterling and Calvin Kattar.
Oliveira's recent performance includes a first-round technical knockout victory over Beneil Dariush at UFC 289 in June. This win secured him a title shot against Makhachev at UFC 294, but Oliveira had to withdraw from the October bout due to a cut sustained in training.

Tsarukyan is eager for a rematch with Makhachev after losing to the current lightweight champion in his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 149 in April 2019. Since then, the American Top Team standout has been on an impressive run, winning eight of his nine bouts, including a recent victory over Dariush at UFC on ESPN 52, where he secured a stoppage in just 64 seconds on December 2nd.
