Six days after their impressive six-goal triumph, Arsenal will aim to continue their flawless start to the Premier League in 2024 as they head to Lancashire to face Burnley on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta's side put on a stunning display to thrash West Ham United 6-0 in their last outing. Meanwhile, Burnley suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of league leaders Liverpool. Despite Vincent Kompany's managerial prowess, Burnley couldn't upset Liverpool at Anfield.

In front of a record-breaking crowd at Anfield, Burnley managed to hold Liverpool to a draw at halftime with Dara O'Shea's goal cancelling out Diogo Jota's opener. However, Liverpool's Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez secured the win for the home side in the second half.

Sitting in 19th place, Burnley is yet to secure a victory in 2024 and is only above bottom-placed Sheffield United on goal difference. The gap to 17th-placed Luton Town, who have a game in hand, is seven points.

Liverpool's Nunez also marked Burnley's 50th conceded goal this season, highlighting their defensive struggles. Despite this, Burnley has shown some promise by scoring in their last five Premier League matches.

Although Burnley struggled earlier in the season at Turf Moor, they've improved recently, securing points in three of their last five home matches. However, Arsenal's dominant away form could pose a challenge for them.

Arsenal's recent away performance against West Ham showcased their attacking prowess, resulting in their largest Premier League away victory to date. Currently level on points and goal difference with Manchester City, Arsenal aims to continue their winning streak against Burnley.

Having conceded the fewest goals away from home in the division this season, Arsenal looks poised to make history with a victory against Burnley. Their previous encounter saw Arsenal secure a 3-1 win at the Emirates, and they remain unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League visits to Turf Moor, although half of those matches ended in draws.

INJURIES & SUSPENSION

During his first Premier League start for Burnley, Maxime Esteve, who is owned by Montpellier HSC, had to be substituted in the 80th minute at Anfield. However, there's currently no indication that the France Under-21 international won't be available to face the Gunners.

Unfortunately, Burnley has several long-term absentees including Nathan Redmond (hamstring), Luca Koleosho (knee), and Lyle Foster, who missed the Liverpool game due to a chronic injury and has undergone surgery since then.

Jordan Beyer is still struggling with a thigh injury, but Charlie Taylor's shoulder problem might see improvement in time for Saturday's match. If not, Hannes Delcroix is likely to continue at left-back after his return from injury.

On Arsenal's side, Oleksandr Zinchenko missed the West Ham game due to a calf injury sustained against Liverpool, while Takehiro Tomiyasu was unavailable due to a niggle picked up after returning from the Asian Cup. Gabriel Jesus (knee), Emile Smith Rowe (ankle), and Jorginho are also facing fitness concerns, with Jorginho being dropped for the West Ham game due to a knock.

Additionally, Arsenal has long-term absentees Jurrien Timber (ACL), Thomas Partey (thigh), and Fabio Vieira (groin). However, Vieira is aiming for a return in next week's Champions League match against his former club, Porto.

POSSIBLE LINE-UPS

Burnley possible starting lineup:
Trafford; Assignon, O'Shea, Esteve, Delcroix; Odobert, Berge, Brownhill, Bruun Larsen; Amdouni, Datro Fofana

Arsenal possible starting lineup:
Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior; Odegaard, Rice, Havertz; Saka, Trossard, Martinelli

EXPERT PREDICTION

Burnley 1-4 Arsenal

While Burnley's performances at Turf Moor have improved from earlier in the season, they're up against a defensively solid Arsenal team who've also found their attacking edge again. Burnley fans might be in for a tough afternoon.

Despite Arsenal having their Champions League match in Portugal looming, they're expected to be ruthless and dominant, particularly in the air. Arsenal's style of play should leave a lasting impression in Lancashire, although fans hoping for another six-goal spectacle might have to temper their expectations.
