Brighton & Hove Albion is said to be looking for a record-breaking sum if they decide to part ways with their star striker, Evan Ferguson. Interest in the 19-year-old is brewing among various clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur. Ferguson has made a name for himself as one of the Premier League's rising talents under the guidance of head coach Roberto De Zerbi.

Having netted 15 goals in 43 games for Brighton across all competitions, with an impressive 10 goals in 25 appearances last season, Ferguson played a key role in helping the Seagulls secure a sixth-place finish in the Premier League and qualify for the Europa League for the first time in their history. In 2023, he has continued his stellar performance, reaching the milestone of 10 goals and becoming the first teenager since Wayne Rooney in 2005 to achieve double figures for Premier League goals in a calendar year.

The Republic of Ireland international committed to a new long-term contract with Brighton until 2029, but despite this, speculations persist regarding a potential high-profile transfer in 2024. TalkSPORT reports that Tottenham sees Ferguson as a prospective replacement for Harry Kane, who left the club to join Bayern Munich in the summer. Manchester United and Chelsea are also rumored to be interested, but Manchester City is not currently in the running.

Brighton, however, is in no rush to part ways with Ferguson, and there is no release clause in his new contract. Allegedly, it will require a bid exceeding £100 million to convince the Seagulls to let go of the promising teenager. Brighton owner Tony Bloom is confident that Ferguson's value surpasses that of midfielder Moises Caicedo, who was sold to Chelsea for a British-record £115 million during the summer.
