Tuchel has faced a challenging season with Bayern, with disappointments in the German Super Cup against RB Leipzig, the Bundesliga against Bayer Leverkusen, and a DFB-Pokal exit to third-tier Saarbrucken. Despite hopes for a Champions League title, those aspirations were dashed by Wednesday's dramatic defeat to Real Madrid in the semi-finals.
While this season might mark Bayern's first without a trophy since 2011-12, Tuchel remains a highly sought-after manager in European football. Recent reports suggested he was a top candidate to replace Manchester United's current manager, Erik ten Hag, for the 2024-25 season.
There were speculations that talks had already taken place between Manchester United and Tuchel's representatives regarding the managerial position at Old Trafford. However, Tuchel refuted these rumors during a media briefing ahead of Bayern's Bundesliga match against Wolfsburg on Sunday.
"There have been no talks with other clubs so far," Tuchel told reporters at Saturday's press conference. "That situation has been clear since February.
"There's nothing that I want to discuss publicly here and no decision has been made yet. I have to work that out with myself and my coaching team. So this is not a completely selfish decision. That will happen in the next few weeks, calmly."
