Reports have confirmed that N'Golo Kante has now assumed ownership of Royal Excelsior Virton, a third-tier Belgian team. Having agreed to a deal reportedly worth ten times more than his previous Premier League contract, the 2018 World Cup winner decided to invest a portion of his earnings into becoming a football club owner.

This morning, it was confirmed that Kante, along with his associates, has finalized the terms to take control of Royal Excelsior Virton, who recently suffered relegation to the third tier of Belgian football.

Royal Excelsior Virton, having finished in 12th place and at the bottom of the Challenger Pro League by a mere point, will undergo a rebuilding process under the leadership of Kante at Stade Yvan Georges. Flavio Becca, the previous owner, has relieved the club of all its debts, and Kante is now set to lead the efforts in consolidating the club's foundations, stabilizing the team, and reestablishing the tradition of nurturing young talent through the RE Virton Youth Academy."
