Neymar’s agent has dismissed rumors that the Brazilian star might cut ties with Al-Hilal and return to his first club, Santos. After joining the Saudi club from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023 for a reported €90 million, Neymar’s stint has been marred by a knee injury, limiting the 32-year-old to just seven appearances across all competitions.

This includes only two substitute outings in the AFC Champions League in October and November. Recent reports suggested Neymar was considering terminating his €150 million-per-year contract with Al-Hilal, set to expire in June 2025, to facilitate a quick return to Brazil.

Speculation had grown about an emotional homecoming to Santos, where Neymar launched his career, scoring 136 goals in 225 appearances before his move to Barcelona in 2013.

Neymar’s agent, Pini Zahavi, has shut down rumors about the player leaving Al-Hilal to return to Santos, making it clear that Neymar is committed to his current club.

Speaking to Fabrizio Romano, Zahavi said;

“There are no ongoing talks for Neymar to leave Al-Hilal. He’s under contract and very happy there.”*

He also emphasized that only he and Neymar’s father are authorized to speak about the star’s future, adding, I have no idea where these recent rumors are coming from.”
