According to reports, it is believed that Liverpool have prepared a substantial offer for Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde. The Reds have already bolstered their midfield this summer with the additions of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Following a disappointing fifth-placed finish last season, Jurgen Klopp is determined to strengthen the squad further and avoid a repeat of that underwhelming campaign. The Guardian suggests that Liverpool is planning to submit a bid of £77m for Valverde, who faces increased competition in the Real Madrid lineup following the arrival of Jude Bellingham.

Valverde, a young and talented Uruguayan international, is part of a group of promising midfield recruits at Real Madrid in recent years. Alongside Bellingham, he joins a squad that includes Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, as well as experienced veterans Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

Given the surplus of midfield options, the report indicates that Valverde or one of the other young midfielders could potentially depart the club. However, Real Madrid is reportedly hesitant to part ways with any of their promising youngsters, particularly as Modric and Kroos approach the twilight of their careers. This reluctance from Real Madrid may pose challenges for Liverpool in striking a deal.

Valverde has been a consistent presence at the Santiago Bernabeu for the past four seasons, and his versatility has been valuable in accommodating other midfielders, as he can also be deployed as a right-winger.

Liverpool's interest in Valverde is believed to have arisen from missing out on the signing of Bellingham, suggesting that Klopp is eager to strengthen his midfield beyond just the two previous acquisitions.
