Three of Ghana's national football team coaches, including former Premier League defender John Paintsil, are thankfully in stable condition following a car accident. The incident occurred as Head Coach Otto Addo, Assistant Coach Paintsil, and Goalkeeping Coach Fatawu Dauda were returning from a scouting mission at a local club match in Ghana.

Their vehicle sustained damage while avoiding a head-on collision with a pick-up truck that unexpectedly swerved into their lane. Despite the scare, the Ghanaian Football Association (GFA) remains optimistic that the coaches will be fit to lead the Black Stars in their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger, scheduled for Thursday and Monday, respectively.

John Paintsil, 43, who played for Premier League clubs West Ham, Fulham, and Leicester between 2006 and 2012, is among those involved in the accident. Otto Addo, 49, a former Borussia Dortmund player and assistant manager, is currently in his second tenure as the head coach of the Black Stars.

The GFA released a statement expressing relief that all three members of the coaching staff are in stable condition. "The team had been on an official assignment, observing the Champion of Champions clash between FC Samartex 1996 and Nsoatreman FC. We are happy to report that all three members of the technical team are in stable condition and will undergo further medical assessments, as a precautionary measure, upon their return to Accra."

The nation breathes a sigh of relief as the coaches continue to receive care and support in the lead-up to the crucial qualifiers.
