Manchester United has reportedly been approached by Galatasaray about signing midfielder Casemiro. The Brazilian international started the new season on a stronger note compared to how he ended the 2023-24 campaign. However, that changed quickly after he was blamed for Liverpool's first two goals in their 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Casemiro was substituted at halftime, replaced by academy graduate Toby Collyer, while Manuel Ugarte watched from the stands. The Uruguayan is expected to replace Casemiro in midfield after the international break.

Even though most transfer windows, including the Saudi Pro League, are now closed, it is still expected that the former Real Madrid star will remain at Old Trafford until at least January. However, according to journalist Ali Naci Kucuk, who commented on X (formerly Twitter), United has received an offer to let one of their highest earners leave.

Galatasaray, who recently made a similar deal for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen after his moves to Chelsea and Al-Ahli fell through, is keen on adding another midfielder to their squad, with several candidates reportedly being considered.
