Under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti, Madrid faced a challenging match where they struggled to break down Valladolid’s defense, especially during a frustrating first half in Kylian Mbappé's home debut.
The breakthrough came in the 50th minute when Federico Valverde's low drive, deflected off Stanko Juric, found the back of the net, giving Madrid the lead. The game opened up after that, with Madrid exploiting the spaces left by Valladolid’s attempts to equalize.

In other La Liga action, Conor Gallagher made his debut for Atletico Madrid in a 3-0 victory against Girona. Gallagher, who recently signed from Chelsea for around £33 million, came on as a second-half substitute.
