Chelsea is reportedly open to exploring options beyond Napoli's Victor Osimhen, who is said to be attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain. Despite bolstering their forward lineup last summer with Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku from Villarreal and RB Leipzig, respectively, Chelsea is still in the market for another striker.

Osimhen, the Nigerian international, seems poised to leave Napoli at the end of the season, despite recently extending his contract until 2026. Chelsea is rumored to be willing to activate Osimhen's hefty €130 million (£111 million) release clause to secure his services. However, PSG is also eyeing the 25-year-old as they prepare for Kylian Mbappe's departure to Real Madrid.

Mbappe's impending move will free up significant funds for PSG, prompting them to pursue a replacement ahead of the 2024-25 season. Consequently, Chelsea is reportedly considering backup options in case they miss out on Osimhen.

The Evening Standard reports that Chelsea is looking at alternatives, with Brentford's Ivan Toney and Brighton & Hove Albion's Evan Ferguson on their radar. Toney, who has scored four goals in five matches since returning from a ban, could be available for transfer this summer, with Brentford acknowledging the possibility of selling him due to his contract situation.

Ferguson, on the other hand, is highly regarded as one of the Premier League's emerging talents, having netted 12 goals in 43 top-flight appearances for Brighton. Despite interest from Chelsea, Brighton has no immediate need to sell the promising youngster, who is tied to the club until 2029.

In addition to Toney and Ferguson, Chelsea is reportedly scouting for other forward options ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
