According to reports, Chelsea are ready to challenge Liverpool in the race to sign Southampton's Belgian midfielder, Romeo Lavia.

Lavia was one of the bright sparks in the Saints team last season, and his performance in the middle of the park certainly attracted the attention of some of the premier Leagues big guns, despite Southampton's relegation from the premier league.

However, further reports have confirmed that the player will ignore any advance from the London club as his heart is set on joining the Reds.

Wow, just wow!
Chelsea are running around in the transfer market like headless chickens.

First, Moises Caciedo is overpriced. He's a good player, no doubt but he's worth around £50-60m. Chelsea are so desperate to replace Kante, Kovacic, Jorginho, Loftus Cheek and other players who are capable of playing that wing.

Brighton too have been GREEDY, and using Chelsea's desperation to command a whooping £100m on a player with little experience.

Chelsea's desire to land the Ecuador international to Stamford Bridge might land them into trouble. When the pressure to deliver and prove the £100m mounts, he may be found wanting.

They've had their first lesson with Mmudryk but haven't learnt anything. Man Utd are suffering the same thing with Anthony. There are many options in the market, walk away and get a decent DMF for a decent fee except for Romeo Lavia which is why Liverpool needs to be fast and he this deal over the line.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea submitted a new bid for Moises Caicedo worth €93m and it was immediately rejected by Brighton.

Yes what you said about Manchester united is true although is my club but we will keep buying expensive players that is doing nothing I advise they should look down and select small boys that is playing good because price is not what we need we need people that will represent the club.

I prefer caicedo to this guy, if chelsea can pay up for enzo they can do the same for caicedo

you have a point though, i feel the reason why Brighton are insisting on their asking prize is probably because they feel since Chelsea paid well over the odds for Enzo, then they can as well do same for Caicedo.

Chelsea started this, it's their mess. Always paying over the odds for below-average players:mad:
