At last Saturday’s WWE Bad Blood event, The Rock made a surprise appearance after Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. He counted the pinfall and then left the ring.
Later that night, The Rock went live on Instagram, telling fans that there’s been "a lot of BS" surrounding the rumors about his match with Rhodes. Previously, WrestleVotes had reported that WWE was thinking about a triple threat match involving The Rock, Reigns, and Rhodes for WrestleMania 41.
But according to Dave Meltzer’s latest update in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Rock isn’t currently set to appear at WrestleMania 41 in April. When asked about the triple threat idea, a source said;
"He’s not going to be able to do WrestleMania. He already let them know he wouldn’t be available for the match," Meltzer said. While a few reasons were tossed around, no clear explanation was given—just that "different reasons were told to different people."
Meltzer made it clear that The Rock is serious about being in peak condition for any match he’s involved in, adding;
"The simple truth is his schedule got too packed, and he couldn’t commit to doing it properly."
