Some of the stars tipped to shine brightly and dominate the headlines have either failed to sparkle or simply refused to brighten the continent with their soccer skills!

My standout player so far is none other than Emilio Nsue, Equatorial Guinea's captain, while my standout flop is none other than the bald headed fraud "Andre Ayew".
