Reports suggest that Liverpool are set to reignite their interest in Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni. The Reds were previously linked with the French international last summer, but he signed for Real Madrid from Monaco instead. While Tchouameni has made 34 appearances and contributed three assists for the Spanish giants, he has struggled to live up to expectations since the World Cup break, starting just five of the 13 La Liga games.

This has led to Real Madrid considering a sale in the summer. Liverpool, who are expected to strengthen their midfield after Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain leave the club, are said to be willing to submit an €80m bid for Tchouameni as an alternative to their primary target, Jude Bellingham. However, Liverpool may face difficulty in signing Tchouameni, with the player reportedly happy at Real Madrid and Liverpool currently sitting in ninth place in the league table, ten points adrift of the top four.

The Reds are gearing up to face Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday.
