Inter Miami is reportedly making efforts to bring Eden Hazard to Major League Soccer (MLS) as they aim to convince the player to make the move to North America. Hazard, who last transferred from Chelsea to Real Madrid in the summer of 2019, has had a relatively underwhelming stint with Los Blancos, making 76 appearances and scoring only seven goals.

Despite having a contract at Real Madrid until June 2024, it was recently announced that Hazard and the club had mutually agreed to terminate their agreement, making the Belgian winger a free agent. Hazard's limited playing time and contribution, combined with recurring injuries, resulted in him featuring in just six La Liga matches last season, starting only two games and providing just one goal contribution.

According to Football Espana, Inter Miami is keen on acquiring Hazard's services during this summer's transfer window, with the intention of making him another marquee signing for the club. Inter Miami is currently in the process of persuading Hazard to embark on a new chapter in his 17-year professional career by leaving European football behind and joining MLS.

The report suggests that Inter Miami is not the only team interested in signing Hazard, indicating that Javier Morales's side may face strong competition in the pursuit of the Belgian forward.

Currently languishing at the bottom of the Western Conference in MLS, Inter Miami has had a challenging start to the season, resulting in the departure of Phil Neville as manager. The team, led by Morales, finds themselves nine points adrift of ninth-placed CF Montreal, and significant efforts will be required to secure a spot in the playoffs later this year. However, Inter Miami is poised to strengthen their squad with notable signings.

Established just in 2018, the club recently made headlines by announcing the acquisitions of former Barcelona duo Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets, as they strive to establish themselves as a top-tier team in MLS.
