Chelsea are reportedly still confident about signing Michael Olise, despite Crystal Palace's efforts to keep him. Last summer, Chelsea showed interest in Olise, but he chose to stay at Palace and extended his contract until June 2027.

Although Olise missed several games due to injury in the 2023-24 season, he scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 19 Premier League appearances. He had a strong finish to the season under new manager Oliver Glasner, helping Palace win six of their last seven matches to secure a 10th-place finish.

Olise, a France Under-21 international, has attracted attention from top European clubs because of his impressive form. Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Palace has offered Olise a new contract with a higher salary and a new release clause valid for 2025.

His current release clause is around £60m, but Palace aims to increase it to ward off interest from other clubs and keep him as a key player for Glasner's squad in 2024-25.

Despite these efforts, Romano states that Chelsea remain confident in their pursuit of Olise and plan to negotiate personal terms with him. Newcastle United and Bayern Munich have also shown increased interest recently and are in discussions with Olise about a potential summer transfer. Meanwhile, Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Aston Villa are also interested but seem to be behind in the race for his signature.

If I were him, I'll stay at Palace
