Barcelona is facing some anxious moments as they prepare for their upcoming La Liga clash with arch-rivals Real Madrid this Saturday. Several key players are dealing with fitness concerns, casting doubt on their availability for the highly anticipated match.

Jules Kounde, the French international, is a definite absentee for El Clasico due to a knee injury. Unfortunately, it's unlikely he'll return to action until after the international break in November. Sergi Roberto is also expected to miss the game due to a calf problem, while Pedri's chances of recovering from a thigh injury in time for the Real Madrid fixture seem to be diminishing.

Additionally, Frenkie de Jong may not be able to participate, as he's struggling to overcome an ankle issue he picked up against Celta Vigo last month. According to Sport, Barcelona is taking a cautious approach with De Jong, and he might not be back until after the November international break.

Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski were notably absent in Barcelona's recent Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk, which they won 2-1 under Xavi's management. However, there is a glimmer of hope as AS reports that both players are set to train on Thursday, and their conditions will be assessed to determine whether they can make a comeback in El Clasico.

Raphinha has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury in the La Liga game against Sevilla at the end of September. On the other hand, Lewandowski had to leave the field due to an ankle injury during the Champions League match against Porto on October 4, causing him to miss the team's last three games in all competitions.

Joao Felix also raised concerns when he limped off during the match against Shakhtar on Wednesday. He reassured fans on social media that it was just an impact injury, but his participation in the upcoming weekend match depends on a proper assessment.

Gavi, who missed the Shakhtar game, will be available for the showdown with La Liga leaders Real Madrid. Despite these challenges, Barcelona remains in a strong position, sitting in third place in the La Liga table with 24 points, just one point behind leaders Real Madrid. Impressively, they are undefeated in all competitions during the 2023-24 campaign.
