Football Insider claims that Postecoglou, who is of Greek-Australian descent, has officially accepted an offer to become the permanent replacement for Antonio Conte at Tottenham. The deal is expected to be finalized later this week, facilitated by Postecoglou's 12-month rolling contract at Celtic.
If the move goes ahead as anticipated, Postecoglou will depart Celtic after achieving an impressive record of 83 wins, 12 draws, and 18 defeats in his 113 matches in charge. His latest triumph, a 3-1 victory over Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Scottish Cup final, secured his fifth piece of silverware at Celtic and solidified his place among the club's greatest managers. Postecoglou has attracted interest from English clubs previously, including Brighton & Hove Albion, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leeds United, and Chelsea.
Should he join Tottenham, Postecoglou will face the task of leading the team back to European competition for the 2024-25 season after they finished eighth in the Premier League and lost their continental status.
