Liverpool will be without Alexis Mac Allister for Saturday’s Merseyside derby against Everton, as the midfielder is suspended. The Argentine international, who made his 12th Premier League start of the season in Wednesday’s clash against Newcastle, received his fifth yellow card of the campaign, triggering a one-match ban.

In the match at St James’ Park, Liverpool twice came from behind to level the score before Mohamed Salah’s second goal put them ahead 3-2. But their hopes of an eighth consecutive win in all competitions were dashed when Fabian Schar netted a last-minute equalizer for Newcastle.

Mac Allister’s suspension stems from a foul on Schar in the 20th minute, which saw him booked. This follows his fourth yellow card, picked up earlier this month against Brighton, leaving him just one booking away from a ban.

The Reds will also be missing Alisson Becker, Conor Bradley, Ibrahima Konate, and Kostas Tsimikas, who are sidelined with injuries. Meanwhile, Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa are doubtful and will undergo assessments ahead of the derby at Goodison Park.
