According to reports, Real Madrid have been officially informed about Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade's offer to Facundo Campazzo.

It is reported that Campazzo received a 2-year €4.3 million offer from the Serbian powerhouse.

The Argentinian guard would earn €1.8 million for the 2022-23 season and €2.5 million for the 2023-24 season, and Real Madrid have just nine days to decide on whether they will match Crvena Zvevda's offer or not.

Campazzo still owes Real Madrid €2.6 million of the €6 million release clause that the Argentinian agreed to pay for leaving the club for the NBA. Barkas reports that a significant amount of that sum would be paid by the contract signed with the Serbian team.

However, the Argentinian guard resists returning to Madrid due to Spain's taxation system and the remaining buyout fee that still roams from the time he went to the NBA in 2020.

If Campazzo signed with Real, he would be taxed like a regular Spanish citizen and have to pay a steep 45% tax rate. Otherwise, he'd have to pay only a 22% tax rate.
