Carlos Alcaraz captured his first French Open title with a thrilling five-set victory over Alexander Zverev in Sunday’s men’s final at Court-Philippe Chatrier.

At 21, Alcaraz has already won major titles on hard courts (2022 US Open) and grass (Wimbledon 2023). He completed the trio with a grueling 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 win on clay.

Alcaraz was already the youngest man to reach finals on all three surfaces. Now, he’s the youngest male to win Grand Slam titles on all three surfaces and the first in the Open Era to win his first three titles on three different surfaces, all while extending Zverev’s wait for a major championship.
